The non-potable pump water system will be turned off Wednesday, 10/16/2024. This is the third Wednesday of October. We need a few days to prepare for the blowout of the system. The blow out function that THMD is doing this year and continuing every year is blowing out the entire non-potable water system, including having air for your yards to use.
On Saturday 10/19/2024, THMD will blow out the District mains, in doing so you will be able to use this air for your irrigation system.
The District has a winterization schedule set up for the homeowner to use the air in the non-potable water system. Please set
your irrigation clock to the winterization schedule or do it manually. Please blowout your system only during your allotted time. After you have cleaned your in-line filter, (This can be done the week before.) and it is your time to blow out on the winterization schedule; be sure to blow out each zone out for 3 to 5 minutes. Or do manually watch your irrigation system, to a point to where no more water is coming out of the irrigation system, move on to the next zone. Once fully blown out, close your main water valve.
Please blow out during your time slot, if you blow out during other times, it can affect your neighbors’ air pressure.
Before the blowout:
1. Clean your in-line filter.
2. Set your irrigation clock to the winterization schedule for your area or do it manually.
3. Blow out each zone out for 3 to 5 minutes or until you see only air coming out.
4. Turn off your ball valve at your connection point of your irrigation system,
